Digging for Alabama Clay

We went digging for some Alabama clay with friends last week. We dug it up and brought it home. Then, the next day gathered again with more friends & made all kinds of treasures~

A new discovery of an old toy.

Samuel loves tinker toys! You've been playing with them since Gigi found Papa's old ones in the attic and brought them here Christmas time.

Huff, really loved the idea too. He is always concerned about food being healthier so wanted to same something to the President about it. Now they will wait and hope for a return letter.

This time to the President of the United States.
My little activist. He was determined to ask him to stop something.

The boys thought this was pretty cool....thanks dad for the idea.

Handwriting exercise

We practiced our handwriting today by writing a letter to a company of their
choice. They chose Frito-Lay! They said, "Hi" and "Can you send me a box of Doritos"
"Once I put Doritos in my hair" "My favorite day is Wednesday" If they send ANYTHING back
it'll be fun! A letter, a coupon or a sample!

Happy New Year 2012

Kid friendly as usual! A little game of twister, dance off contest, some sparklers & fireworks along with a walk downtown to see the ball drop & watch bigger fireworks! We had SO much fun.

Lets see:
1. Baxter now wants to be known as Bolton or Bolt....his middle name and get into nature more.
2. Huff says more swimming
3. Samuel said- more coloring & trucks
4. Mama says- dig in the dirt more, listen more, don't be so concerned what everyone thinks.
5. Papa says- dance more, spend more time outdoors.
